Anel Engineering & Contracting LLC, the subsidiary company of Anel Elektrik in London, entered the UK with a cutting edge high technology health facility project. The Company signed a contract with leading construction company Bouygues UK, the employer for the electrical and mechanical works of UCLH (University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) Proton Beam Therapy clinical facility being built in central London.

The 31.000 sqm. new clinical facility will provide cancer and surgical services. Above ground, the building will accommodate Europe’s largest centre for the treatment of blood disorders, and below ground, hyper modern theatres and one of only two NHS high energy Proton Beam Therapy* centres. *(Proton Beam Therapy is an advanced form of radiotherapy which uses a precision high-energy beam of particles to destroy cancer cells for the treatment of complex and hard-to-treat cancers in children and adults.)

Anel Engineering & Contracting’s scope includes the preparation of shop drawings and fabrication drawings, material and plant procurement and the installation of the electrical and mechanical works of the facility.

Anel’s mechanical scope includes; HVAC system (proton beam equipment’s chilled water system, all ducting, piping, accessories and equipment) plumbing systems, building management system and special systems (natural gas and LPG, leak detection system, irrigation system, fire damper and interface modules)

The electrical scope includes all primary and secondary cable containments, power cables, lighting fixtures and lighting automation system, earthing and lightning protection system, electrical panels, automation transfer switches, isolator switches, isolated power supply system and centre battery system.

The building is scheduled to be completed in 2020.
